Museum of the City of New York – Rising Waters I Occupy Sandy

The Museum of the City of New York has curated a great exhibition for the one-year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy, Rising Waters which opens today. I was happy to have some images from my Occupy Sandy project included when over 1000 photographers submitted work. The exhibition opens today and runs through March 2, 2014. Make time to check out the images from Stephen Wilkes, Andrew Burton, Ed Kashi, and Ben Lowy among others and visit a wonderful museum space in the city. 0052_20121118_occupy_sandy

Puppies Behind Bars – The Fence, Brooklyn Bridge Park

I’m happy to announce that my work, along with those of a great group of photographers, will be unveiled at an outdoor exhibition The Fence at Photoville June 18th in Brooklyn Bridge Park. The Fence was a new happening in New York last summer and a great addition to city’s cultural scene. It was an awesomely fun way to view photography so I’m looking forward to being part of the exhibition this year.

Occupy Sandy I Rockaways

Occupy Sandy

This photo was taken outside YANA (You Are Not Alone), a community centre, Occupy Sandy was using as a hub for their relief efforts in the area.  Most of the Rockaways was still without power nearly two weeks after the storm.  YANA was this small oasis of activity and light in the darkness thanks to the Greenpeace truck in the background providing solar generator power.
